I bought this computer. Decent specs but the screen is trash. Not very bright and there are blooms around the edge of the display. Considering returning it, but I don't think I can find another laptop with the same specs in this price range (I used the Amex offer for $100 back)

It seems like the current gen of processors are so good that for the average user, they can't upsell people by going a step up in processor because the lower tier one is trash. Now they have to make another part of the PC trash, and with 16GB of soldered DDR5 ram being pretty standard, the only thing left to make the higher end models worth it is a good screen. So many otherwise great laptops have 1920 x 1200, 60 Hz 45%srgb screens.
