Agree on the naming.
Good question - very different lights:
1) The SC33 is a flooder (XHP70.3 LED) with a tail switch and 21700 battery. It's a wall of light, but doesn't have a lot of range.
2) The SR15 is a thrower (SFT25 LED) with a side switch and an 18650 battery. It has a tight hot spot and can throw a few football fields.
Still haven't figured out how to upload pics to comments, so here's an offsite image I just took of both lights: https://imgur.com/a/j4IbMBM
And here's a decent review from a well-known flashlight expert: https://youtu.be/DHChPbvwswk?si=UgxvkHt5NxpEPgkC

Agreed. I love the SFT25 in a short reflector. You get a nice hot spot, but with an unusually wide spill radius. Great EDC light.

Wish they and Wurkkos would put some sense into their naming conventions.

How does this compare to the SC33, besides a smaller battery and a different emitter?

I would not consider the SC33 to be a flooder... although, for better or worse, the SR12 looks to be a very tight spot light. I guess there is a gradual change from flood to spot, and I compare the SC33 to some of my much floodier torches.
Just wondering what the SR12 has over the SC33 that would warrant double the (original, suggested) price. I guess good to blind a faraway enemy, but other than that, I think a slightly wider angle of light may be more useful. And the claimed lumens (1450 vs 5200) speak for themselves. Cool

The SR12 is kind of an all-purpose pocket light. It's an 18650, but one of the smallest on the market. (So it's not really fair to compare it with SC33, which doesn't fit in a pocket.) For $22 it's a steal. I paid $35ish for mine a few months ago.
But if you're just doing neighborhood dog walks and the like, agreed - the high-lumen SC33 would be preferable. If you need to see further down the road, the high-candela SR12 provides more throw.

No - it's shipped from a U.S. warehouse. I've made several orders in the last few months and have only paid state sales tax.

The FC11C (Nichia 519a LED) has more spread beam, and a "cool white" tone. It's more useful indoors, and in close proximity outdoors - especially when color rendering is important (like being able to distinguish the colors of a snake).
The SR12 (SFT25) has a spotlight beam, and a "bright white" tone. This allows you to project it longer distances. (But on lower settings, it can still be useful indoors.)

The big flashlight manufacturers (Sofirn, Wurkkos, Acebeam, etc) have multiple stores / seller accounts on AliExpress. This particular one is their U.S. warehouse (I believe it's in Georgia).
I usually get lights within 5 days of ordering.
