Looking at the reviews. Seems like a phone flashlight can outperform this

I don't like it. having to take it off the key ring to charge it is extremely annoying. In fact having two might fix it, so you don't have to take it off. I actually use the free twist one more often. Buying two so I don't have to take this off a key chain and have a quick swap to get a fully charged one to go would be good but turn it into a $30 investment vs $5 shipping on the free one. Having more than one car doubles that to two keychains.
lol they come with two usb charging plugs so you don't have to take them off your keyring

Mine only had one charging plug. The advertising is the USBA plug has charging surfaces on both sides of the plug, not that it comes with two charging bases. Are you saying you received one with two charging bases ? If you confirm i'll buy another one right now...

100% agreed. They really need to figure out a way to ship it with a USB base for home and a magnetic keychain base on the go, or simply ship it with two USB bases without doubling the price.

I caved and bought two, and now I have a backup light in case I lose one. Unfortunately, I don't have a crowded bus/train commute where the light could get dislodged (my bag travels in my car), nor do I tend to lose things in general, so my backup light will probably never get used, and might only come in handy if a friend loses theirs.
If I buy another i'll just leave it plugged in and ready, so when the one im carrying runs out, i just swap it out to charge and take the fully charged one. Someone just said it ships with two bases to charge now, thats news to me, mine only came with one. This is also normal price all year long..

If only it had USB Type C...
Yeah I almost prefer it having a USC port on the light itself, and the magnetic base could just be a holder and i'd prefer that more, and if anything the USBA can be on there just for backward compatability if I happen to need it for some odd reason.

Even with the carabiner, you take it off, you take the sleeve off, charge, put the sleeve back on, clip it back on. It defeats the entire purpose of it quickly magnetically disconnected and reconnecting.
  1. The magnetic disconnect serves as the on/off 'switch'
  2. You can use the magnet on the light itself to stick it to a metal object to free up your hands
  3. You don't need a cable to charge, just a USB-A port

*clearly, that is how its used
*yes thats how magnets work
*No one said anything about a cable.

In for one. It is going on my belt loop carabiner along with my house key key to my Gravity Fed smoker, and my P-38 can opener (left over from the Viet Nam War) Magnetic clip (to tell Steel from aluminum stuff), and hopefully this will replace my single AAA battery and my Magnetic Clip Olight Screw on $5 light...We shall see!!!

This flashlight is so awesome. I have it on my car keychain and it comes in handy when I need light to find something. It's tiny but very bright.

I have it and like it. the color around lens does wear off after being in my pocket about a year. I rarely need to charge it since it's more of a have it when I need it light.

I work nights in the ICU this is on my badge reel and 3 other nurses have bought one after seeing mine. Yes there are Olights that have type c charger but I like that that this separates and I can take it off my badge easy to search for something or sit it at the right angle to do a quick task. It snaps back to the magnet holder super easy and we all love them. I have an olight addiction and recommend them highly.

It's posts like this that make me forget about o-light, then I open the site, then, the next thing I know a box shows up two weeks later with a bunch of flashlights. Not gonna happen. my s2r BatonII is everything I need, except..maybe a back up. Damn it. Now it's open, now I gotta buy something.
