Looking at the reviews. Seems like a phone flashlight can outperform this

What an awful design. The key ring goes through the USB plug? lol. This this is made for the garbage.
considering you only charge it once in a blue moon, it's not a big deal. for sure not garbage.

Bought one, loved it and I bought another one. Don't forget there's a carabiner and an extra USB cover in there before you throw away the box.

The key ring does not go through the USB plug, there is a carabiner in there that goes through that part and it has a ring on the end that goes through the key ring. There is also a silicone cover that covers the USB charging port.

Neat. At first glance I thought these were 'twist-on', but they're not, which is good (I hate that style of light).I have A LOT of flashlights (mainly 18650), but my most used ones are probably my tiny little 'Rovyvon' usb-c rechargeable lights, because they're easily pocketable, just like these. They also have red, warm white, and UV LEDs... but they have gotten crazy expensive ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B74V4861 ). If I didn't have those already, I'd probably pick up a couple of these. Heck, I still might because I'm definitely still a flashaholic..
Got mine today. Definitely a useful amount of light - more useful than an iPhone's LED, for those that were making that comparison.
As a 'flashaholic', it's obviously not my brightest light, but its light output is great for something the size of the tip of your pinky finger. Nice even pattern for the beam & flood, and while the outermost edges of the flood are a bit squared off, that's not really a concern. Nice little charging status indicator LEDs on each side so you can tell when it's full.
I think my only complaint is that it's perfectly round and will therefore roll on a flat surface. Would be nice to see a small feature (bump) on the body to prevent rolling.

Would buy again (and probably will). Having one attached to a tool bag & being able to just pull it off and use it (and/or stick it to something metal) is pretty convenient.
Easy to see why these are so highly regarded in the Amazon reviews.

no comparison because rovyvons are 650 to 700 lumens and this is 50. My rovy is indispensable.

Hands down the best flashlight I've ever owned. I have it with me all the time (keyring). I own more powerful long lasting flashlights, but I never have them as an EDC like this light.
isn't the rovyvon A1/A3 as small (just 1 cm longer), but with higher lumens vs this one?

I'm still using my 5 year old MicroStream daily, but this looks convenient and easy to use. Ordered two to try out.

*clearly, that is how its used*yes thats how magnets work*No one said anything about a cable.
If you don't like the design, don't buy it. You only remove it from the carabiner when you need to recharge it. The rest of the time, it stays on your Keychain until you need it. You unplug it magnetically and instant light. With other Keychain flashlights, you recharge using a cable. Yes, you can leave the flashlight attached to the Keychain, but you lose the use of your keys while recharging (or you have to remove it). Anyway, I love the design, quality, and packaging. I can't believe this only cost $14.

My two came in earlier. Opened one up and charged. I've been playing around with it, and I'm impressed. Nothing on the light itself should snag on anything to knock it loose, and I think the magnet is strong enough even it does catch somehow. Great design, super compact. I'm actually glad I don't need a cable for this (which would get tossed in a box anyway). I have a USB A port right on my dash, making it pretty convenient to charge. I think I'll be using this quite a bit.

I love them and have purchased at least 10 for myself and gifts since they came out. I've been wanting olight to re-release/improve on their i7r for years (same tail cap/pull to switch idea) and was floored when this was released for so cheap.

My only issue with them so far has been the button/switch that is responsible for the on/off. On the ones first released, pocket lint and dirt would cause the button to stick and therefore require a hard tap to fully turn on after pulling off the tailcap. Alcohol and a paperclip to press depress depress would clear it, along with some liquid ptfe.

My keychain it lives on is now on my belt loop, so perhaps that has helped as I don't have issues with newer ones.

Never had a royvon but I'd happily spend double or triple than the cost of this one to have a brighter version with the same mechanism.

This thing is very useful. Its in the base with a magnet and you pull it out and it turns on then you hold it near it and it pops back together and shuts off. Ive had it 3 days and am finding it very useful, especially when im trying to unlock the door to the house.
