I have the G10 version of this laptop that I use for travel (and am typing this on right now). It's been surprisingly solid and doesn't over heat like the several intel laptops I had before this one. I paid $1,100 for it on a similar deal 1 year and 4mo ago. No reason for me to upgrade, but I would highly recommend it - although it does seem $100 more then what I paid for the G10 with almost identical specs.
OK...
For $1,200 and NO GPU... the CPU is a joke.
The screen is a joke and is at 300nits. The ONLY good thing I can say is it has nice RAM and that is it.
And while the 8840HS is decent... it is like two (almost three) years old!!! and you want to pay $1,200????
Lastly, I purchased a Ideapad last November which has a 8845HS and I got it for $400.

I too have the G10 version of this laptop, mine is equipped with a Ryzen 7 PRO 7840HS w/ 16gb of ram and has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it so far. It's a light and sleek machine that can handle some good light gaming, it does get a bit warm on some parts of the keyboard for gaming but that's alright for me. The screen is also... fine I guess, if it wasn't matte I'd be more upset but its good enough. I bought my machine open box on eBay from a random seller for around $500 and honestly if you can get it for a price like that then I would say its worth it, I have seen many G10's on eBay for that price and would recommend one of those instead of this. $1200 for this is honestly a joke, the generational difference between the G10 and G11 is minuscule from what I've seen and the 7840HS vs the 8840HS isn't much of a jump from what I've heard as well.
If you are paying more then like $700-800 for a laptop without a dedicated gpu in some capacity then I believe you are not getting your money's worth
