All you'll need is the upgraded plasma cutter and stasis even pn the hardest difficulty.

I beat it on PS3 back in the day

nice find. This will get many people mad, but Callisto Protocol is great alternative with different pace to the game.

This somehow improved on the original while keeping its spirit intact. It's like playing it again for the first time.

Highly recommend, even if horror is not your thing but you appreciate good sci-fi or good 3rd person games.

I do not play horror games, but I loved the original and ds2. I even played ds2 on the hardest difficulty a couple times just to get the hand cannon.

Callisto Protocol was awful. The entire game boils down to: Dodge left, dodge right, melee attack combo. Block, dodge left, dodge right, melee attack, shoot critical spot. It's so freaking easy.

You can seriously beat every enemy, except the final boss (and those quick crawling monsters that you just easily shoot), just using that strategy.

It also wasn't the least bit scary. Then there's the frequent frame rate drops. It was just a bad game.

Bit of a caveat emptor here: "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo". Not sure if it's still active at this point, but I'll stay away just as well. But I still have the original and would be just as happy playing that one again.

I played it on PS5 and found it to be quite engaging and fun.

This reminds me of Angry Joe's review of the game back then so never played it...Epic gave it free so I might try it someday...probably not.
