Notwithstanding the price, the product is meh. This isn't a replacement for your standard heat gun, it's just a portable version that can handle some low temp applications like heat shrinking connections on a trailer or vehicle.

Just kinda curious, I had a 1500-ish watt heat gun that I replace with this last year and have been quite happy with it. What kinda stuff are you using it for that this WON'T do? I absolutely understand if you're using it for hours at a time or long-ish stints often, then corded would be better/worth the hassle.
The big benifit for me was being able to do work in remote-ish areas and/or not needing an extension cord. I've used it mostly for heat shrink but it does great with the butt splices with solder in the middle as well. I feel like I've used it for one or two other applications I didn't think it would have the power yet it surprised me...

These things stink compared to the cheapest corded heat gun. If you're heat shrinking something smaller than 1/4" heat shrink it might eventually shrink it.
