This is for graphics cards not a storage device so it is a bit misleading because the card will limit the performance gains from gen 5. If you work with large files like during video editing then you'll see performance gains. For most users you won't notice much difference between gen 4 and gen 5.

The spec states max sequential read speed is up to 10,000 MBps. Compared to a a Gen 4 Samsung 990 Pro with sequential read speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s, this is a 34% theoretical speed increase. The real life speed difference will be much less.
