if you really need a marker instead of a pencil, just use Sharpie chisel tip. they mark anything, small when you need it, large when you need it, get some crap on the tip just wipe on you paints and they clean and they're clean and good to go again... they last forever too.

This has not been my experience. I carry one with me every day and it never fails me.

I think it really depends over what material you're writing over and if you're writing over wet surfaces or lots of debris, that goes for any marker.

I use the hell out of the ones I got like three years ago. No clue how they're still going. Not sure what I'd use the other colors for except making art on 2x4's.

I bought these once and all they did was leak. Ended up throwing the whole pack away and went back to sharpie.
