These are great for a rear facing camera because there is no screen! You won't see it in your rear view mirror with this mounted in the back.Having a second camera with a second card gives you additional backup.I have a similar setup with 2 cameras, a nicer 4k front facing and one similar to this just for the back window.

It's funny that none of the comments talk about the actual usability, quality etc. Just price ... SD effect.

I believe, specifically for dashcams, spending a bit more and getting something usable with higher resolution and better sensors like a Sony starvis 2 etc is preferable. Just my thoughts, others can disagree .. YMMV

It seems like the best cams out there are still going to struggle with reading license plates or other things that might be useful. A pretty potato dash cam is plenty to show that the person literally reversed into you or that the light was clearly green when you started into the intersection and got hit by someone running the red by a lot. I'm just not sure any of the better cams really get good enough to provide additional uses. I might get this for a second car since we don't drive it much I can't justify much for a dash cam but as long as this works the price is right.

I have a similar thing using 2 cheap Pelsee 1080p cams for left and right side recording. Combined with the main 2-channel cam I have 360 degrees of video coverage.

I bought 2 of these low-priced dashcams for about $40 each over the past 5 years and they've helped me in two no fault accidents. They were 1080p and 30fps like this one and the police took my word over the other party the moment they saw the dashcam footage. What's important is buying a name brand MicroSD card that is advertised for endurance and making sure to format the MicroSD card within the dashcam every 2 months. For me the additional features you get for $100-$300 is not really worth it for me. I just need fairly decent footage to show the police. 4K is nice, but 1080p is good enough.

yupp no matter the price, this thing is garbage. you need at least 2k to easily see a license plate which can be make or break when you actually need the video.
