Great deal. Waiting for next month - M3 Pro went on sale for $1499.99 (Amazon), per CCC, around mid-August last year. If this follows the same trend, I'll definitely bite then.

Is this chip the same as the MacBook Air? I'm new. I'm about to buy the 1199 MacBook Air with 24gb and 512. New to video editing and graphics, is that enough or should I go mbp?

Agreed! I've seen this $1650 price in Jan for this particular model. Was tempted to buy but got the base M4 for $1300 instead. If this was $1500 around then, I'd have pulled the trigger (don't need the M4Pro for any other reason than that higher memory and beefier CPU = more longevity)

That's an M4, not a Pro, so you're basically paying $400 more for just 8GB of RAM and an extra 512GB of storage. I think the used M4 Pro with 24GB RAM for $1500 at Best Buy was a better deal, but it's already sold out earlier today

Thats a good catch. @OP, thanks for posting deal but please correct the misleading title. It's a MacBook Pro with an M4 chip, not M4 pro
