Market creep. Forever testing 'what the market will bear' by releasing incremental 'luxury upgraded' versions with features that consumers will slowly convince themselves of needing until they cave, or to instantly capture those already in the high end streaming or competitive gaming markets. All to hopefully test the sales enough to raise the 'low end models' by another 10-50$ within a few years with similar but limited upgrades

If you don't need it now, I can see it dropping to $150 or $160 around BF. The lowest we've seen it NEW was $150 at Brandsmart back in May. Generally though $170 is the sale price. I do recommend grabbing a joystick replacement module while you're purchasing so you have a backup.

Not the best as it's a smaller battery but I love the controller. Often play with it plugged in.

Battery life isn't great, but I have two of this controller (black and anniversary) and love it. The battery is at MOST 6 hours.
I personally use it for overwatch and set my back paddles to L1 and R1, but many do them for X and O to not take their thumb off the analog. I also have both R2 and L2 set to the hair trigger setting so I don't have to push the triggers all the way down.

IMO it's worth $150. A normal dualsense retails for $80 even though we've seen it for less. This adds hair triggers, back paddles, better grips, replaceable joysticks and two function buttons on bottom.

The only other option is those from Scuf though and they cost $230 and are missing many features of the Edge.

Generally IMO, this is the best FPS PS5 controller under $200 with the second best option being the standard dualsense controller

Best controller period. I've tried them all. Was a 360 fan then ps4 controller fan. But this dualsense is hands down the best I've ever used. Play competitive COD and it's the standard.
