If you have HP fans that want to play it but haven't then get this game at $16. Personally it will only be for 1-2 playthroughs.

It's a good HP game but overall I really hope they refine it for #2 as a lot of it is a chore and I sunk a good bit of time trying to get all the collectibles but don't get/do more than what's needee in the book as there are no rewards.

So you're saying it's not worth trying to find all the collectibles? What do you mean by "don't do more than what's needed in the book?" Does the game tell you what's essential to do and what's not? One reason I haven't played it is because I feel like it's gonna take up too much of my life. How long would you say the game is without doing all the unessential stuff?

It tells you - there's "Main quest" lines and "Side quests" clearly labeled

Main quests and side quests and pages for the book. There are more collectable items/challenges than there are rewards meaning you wont get rewarded for completing/collecting them. (The book/guide gives rewards as you do the task) All level items are the level you are or 1+/- especially the ??? ones so don't hold onto them for long. Just get 1 basic broom and do the upgrade quests. Easy levels from side games like the wizard ball game.

Was 10/10 for the first 5-8 hours. After that, probably closer to 7/10.

I'm a mid-HP fan. Never read the books, like the movies. I do enjoy the theme park.
I enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I would on PS5. Only played through once, but still think back on it fondly. Actually made me more interested in HP than I was previously.

Exploring the school is the best part. The end of the game with the larger open world is less great, but still enjoyable. If you ever wanted to "go to Hogwarts" this is what you are looking for.

It's an ok game, but lost its luster quickly with me. The collectibles aren't anything noteworthy, just cosmetic things like parts of your wardrobe or wand design. I think I bought it for $30 and sold it for $25, and felt I got my money's worth. This is a decent price point, though I've had more fun with $10 games.

I tend to play on Xbox, so I figured I'd check there. It's the same price through today. Though I don't know much about the lore, I recall the reviews stating it was a solid game. I look forward to playing it.

For someone who has never played the game, this mostly made no sense.

Apologies. The game is overall nice looking and enjoyable to an extent. There are side puzzles, quests and mini games along with mystic animals, lore and cosmetics. The loot/armor level system is capped at 30. You have a finite amount of inventory space and later in the game you can reveal "???" armor that will be around the level you picked it up(not your current level if it has ben sitting in your inventory). You will be able to fly with a broom as you progress in the story and they all fly the same and just look different with glowing effects. You will be introduced to the wizard ball game near the start and can finish it by defeating a number of opponents which will grant you experience points.
