Wireless battery powered version for $5 more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXBC26X8I bought a couple of MicroUSB rechargeable AA batteries and just swap when it runs out every 2 weeks or so
X is always the cheaper version with Razer. I must say this is my favorite mouse of all time and paying 3X it's price to be wireless is foolish. Great deal if I didn't have a black keyboard.

Looks like the black version is just $2 more at Best Buy and Amazon. Sounds like these can't develop a double click which is why I'm trying to replace my Logitech G604 right now.
I have this mouse. Very comfortable and been using it for years without a problem. Only issue is that the side rubber grip does wear out over time pretty badly.

Razer app is spyware.
Razer app or any Razer software isn't needed for the mouse. Only thing not controlled via physical buttons on the mouse is the lighting colors which you can use OpenRGB or anything for instead of Razer.
Edit: Just adding to this that I bought this mouse last December and have been using it pretty much daily since. Absolutely my favorite mouse in years and have had no issues with it at all so far.
Closest thing I've found to a problem is forgetting the physical button that controls whether the scroll wheel clicks or freerolls and just randomly pressing stuff until it makes it click again as it's really annoying in freeroll mode. There is literally no resistance at all in freeroll so if you even bump it it's scrolling but click mode works fantastically and is a physical push button to switch between the two so really easy to change if you're ever doing a ton of document scrolling or something. I have read there is sometimes problems with the solenoid that is used for the scroll wheel so worth testing and watching out for but I've encountered none so far.

G502 has freeroll control. Like you can push the roller and it clicks into clickity clackity mode and freeroll.

Kind of similar on the Razer except the freeroll/clickity change button is 1 of the two buttons in the top center of the mouse behind the scroll wheel. One of them controls DPI the other controls freeroll vs clickity. It's an easy system but I constantly think that those are the DPI up and down buttons (since that's what they were on all my previous mice) so it's a hassle to me sometimes when I end up randomly pressing things until I remember which button it is lol
I took a chance and got the pro version as an upgrade to my trusty g602 and I gotta say so far its the nicest mouse I've ever set my hand on. I declined to download and install synapse when I first plugged it in and it hasn't bothered me since.

I've tried various Razer stuff for years. KB, headset, mouse. They all look pretty cool right?
Then you need to download their app and then make a Razer account. Light research to set everything up and I had issues with something I forgot but it's not worth the trouble.
