Moto phones have ram boost. You can boost to 6gb and 8gb max. Phones come already boosted to 6gb.

its not magic. from a quick google on reddit ppl debate if its even worth using.

And also using this additional ram is pretty much useless. I have seen most phones stuttering when apps are loaded into those. Once we turn off the stuttering issue stops.

Don't use it. My phone runs better without out on and is more buggy when using it. I have a Moto G stylus 5G 2021. I like the device better with it off from my personal observation

^ This

It's a gimmick and will cause more trouble than it's worth, leave it off.

Different manufacturers have different names for it but it's all just virtual RAM, again, leave it off.

another option is to activate on Tracfone with a cheap $20. or less plan and still get the 60 day unlock.
interesting idea - and I could probably add service through TF rewards to activate it?

Yep RAM boost is a gimmick. We see it on 4GB models all the time, not only on Motorolas but Samsungs as well, sometimes tucked away in some obscure setting. But it actually makes the phone chug from my experience. I turn this off immediately after setting it up.

I rock this phone as a back up, sim locked, just WiFi ,no screen protector , with $2 case on , think it's sufficient for day to day use..🙂.

You only need to activate it and only for one month! It will unlock after 60 days but it does not need 60 days of service. Rebranded TF with cheap $10 1 month service
So TW requires 60 days active service and Tracfone is not. Correct?

You can get this phone rebranded to other Tracfone companies for better plans. I called and got an agent to do it on my Tracfone account he knew what he was doing and it only took a few minutes but their CS is hit or miss.
Totally facts... If they are clueless it's a headache. Luck if the draw. Worst if they do something wrong then it's a mess to clean up as that happened to me before.

You don't actually need service for 60 days. Just needs to be activated with service typically $10 for 30 days. It will unlock after 60 days from date of activation.
You'll need to call TracFone and transfer it to that first then get their cheapest plan.
This changed in April. Now you need to have purchased 60 days or more of service. 30 won't cut it anymore. Also I don't believe there's a $10 option anymore for activating a new device. Their plans start at 15 for the first month then 10 afterwards for autopay.

This is true. I activated one on TF in late March, and they made me do 60 days paid before it unlocked. That was 30 days paid $$, plus 30 days free-from-referral, plus 30 days paid with points.

Not just 4GB models either, 6/8 GB Motos have them too. But yeah, just disable it.

correct.. I had to extend my service for another 30 days to get Unlocked (after initial 30 day payment)
So, yes, you need 60 days "paid" service to unlock.
