I bought one of these a few years back, barely lasted a year. Terrible quality.

I came here to say similar. I had 3 and they were all very lightly used and always under a covered porch. One of them cracked and broke where the upright dowel part slides into the rocker curved wood. The wood was not rotted but it was a very "weak" and non dense piece of wood if that helps you imagine it. If this broke while an elderly person was in it it could have been a really big problem.

Going forward I'll probably look around for a comfortable polywood type chair since they really get rave reviews and you won't need to replace it.
