Powerful CPU with DDR5 RAM and 2.5g ethernet connection? This is an awesome deal. Definitely should reinstall windows before using, though.
ETA: didn't notice it was a refurb. I assume the discount is compared with the new price.
At this price point it makes nearly all N100, N150, N95, N97 mini PCs irrelevant. The performance difference between the 7640HS and 8745H isn't worth the extra $150+ IMHO.
Be aware of the limitations of the UM Slim series of mini PCs from Minisforum:
WiFi/BT card doesn't work with Linux (no driver support).
USB3.2 Gen2 ports are on the front (eyesore if you connect wired devices to it).
Will likely come with a single stick of DDR5 4800 memory which limits the performance.
Need to use a free tool[youtu.be] to set CPU/GPU to max TDP settings to get full performance.
These limitations can be addressed by replacing WiFi/BT card if you need Linux support, using the USB4 port in the rear with a USB3.2 adapter/splitter if you want to avoid the eyesore when using USB3.2 devices, and buying a single 16GB DDR5 memory stick to get the full performance from the CPU/GPU if your machine comes with a single memory stick.

They had units listed on their website for several days. But at this price point with the coupon code they'll sell quick. Getting this much CPU/GPU power under $200 is a crazy deal. Thankfully I was able to get my order in before they sold out.

It mentions in the description 2x8 for ram. I hope it's one 16gb though. I'd be happy to add a 16gb stick to make it 32

Refurbished listing doesn't specify. Reports from reddit and YT reviews indicate that the majority of the units come with a single stick of memory. Personally, I want it to come with a single 16GB stick so it's cheaper to upgrade to 32GB. The memory is shared with the iGPU so 16GB really isn't enough for anyone that plans to use if for gaming or runs lots of programs at the same time. It's recommended to set the iGPU so it uses 8GB of memory if one plans to use it for gaming. That leaves very little memory left for the OS and the game.
7640HS is better because it uses the Zen 4 and RDNA 3 architecture and is more efficient. The 6900HX (Zen 3 and RDNA 2) is a tiny bit slower in single core performance but slightly faster in multi core performance, single digit percentage so not a huge difference. They are similar with regards to GPU performance with some games running slightly faster on either CPU. With that said, if you can score a 6800HX that's $40+ cheaper than this deal then that's worth getting. The sweet spot price wise for a mini PC is between $150-300. Once you start getting close to or over the $400 price point then a desktop PC becomes a better option unless one has a specific use case for a mini PC.

did you receive the order ?is it a single memory 16gb or 8*2
Mine came with 2x8GB Crucial DDR5 4800 SO-DIMMs. They shipped my order the next day from Texas (UPS, required signature at delivery). The unit looks new except for some light scuff marks around the HDMI port in the back. Unit works fine, MemTest86 and several benchmarks passed without issue. I'm impressed with how snappy the system is and amazed at what the iGPU can do. It also came with Windows 11 Professional which is a bit of a pain because Microsoft enables BitLocker by default and forces one to create or use a Microsoft account. But that can be overridden during the install by entering in commands in a DOS window (shift+F10) to disable BitLocker and create a local account (no microsoft account).
The only negative and something I knew about before buying is the power light is brighter than normal. But I wasn't expecting it to be bright enough to light up a small dark room. When the unit is in sleep mode the front power light blinks which can be annoying for how bright the power light is. Even the ethernet port lights are brighter than normal but they're located on the back and much smaller so not a real issue. At some point I'll have to cover up the power button or open the case to cover up or paint the LED so its not so bright.
For the price and the CPU/iGPU performance this mini PC is a steal. Minisforum reduced the price of the UM760 Slim (brand new) which is now $297 when used with their coupon code which is listed on the product page.

I doubt we'll ever see a new mini PC with an 7840HS or 8845HS processors anywhere near the price of this deal. The best I've seen is a barebone ACEMAGIC with a 8845HS processor for $230 on sale. But it's a lot larger and only supports HDMI 2.0 (60Hz@4K). That comes to around $370 once one adds memory and storage.
The UM870 Slim (8745HS) can be had for $350 with 32GB+1TB but is Amazon Renewed - Excellent condition. We'll likely see refurbished/renewed 8745HS mini PCs near the $300 price point within the next 6 months. But those deals will be rare because of the limited availability of used units.
