Ace Magic is a super scammy company. Their PCs have been known to come preloaded with viruses. They also carry no parts (against right to repair laws requiring them to do so) and make their warranty process purposefully difficult to use to that it is worthless. Customer support is pretty typical for a Chinese company. That is to say, nearly non-existent and some version of "go f*** yourself." As someone who has personally been burned by this company, I recommend staying away.

Just a FYI these N systems are single channel memory. Sp preference is to find one with DDR5.
Usually better to get 12gb of DDR5 vs 16gb of DDR4.

These work great with Dietpi for X86 which is based on debian linux. Lightweight..easy package management and I'm using it as my docker host/media pc for Jellyfin. The hardware encoding/decoding which includes HEVC (and decoding for AV1) make it handle media well without thrashing the cpu. I replaced a raspberry pi and couldn't be happier with it. This also eliminates the issue of malware being included in the windows software. Oh I also replaced the sata ssd with a nvme one as well as adding a usb 3.x hard drive dock for backups. (dietpi-backup can take daily "snapshots" of the system you can restore to).

Yeah, there's always a reason why something is cheap.

I'm new to these small micro PCs. What do people use these for? I was thinking of connecting it to my TV for Netflix since I have the ads subscription that can't cast from my phone. I have to log into my laptop web browser to cast videos with HDMI right now on my laptop.

Pro tip: Always fresh install these and never use the OS as it is. Also, just something to consider is that these almost never come with NVMe drives. It's usually SATA M.2 which are much slower.

I have one that I use as a torrent seedbox and a Plex server to stream my music to my phone.

What do you expect for $123. it's not like these are powerhouse computers. A SATA m.2 is fine for what they are good for. I have used mine with the original Windows installed on it with zero issues after 2 years.

I have this exact one. It has windows 11 pro installed. The initial WiFi setup is slow because the updates. Try use Ethernet cable for internet connection. It is faster. I use it for browsing and even Amazon Luna on Fortnite game. Regular use should be fine. I didn't have chance to use it for Video editing yet, plan to do it after a trip.

See my suggestion above. Always wipe and fresh install windows 11 with a flash drive and the free windows media creation tool. As far as them carrying parts, what do you mean? These mini PC's all have soldered CPU's (not serviceable) and a standard SODIMM socket for RAM and a standard m.2 slot for storage. Plus the power adapter is a very standard 12v 5521 barrel style. What "Parts" would you need?
