With this bundle the 1-year Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion pack is only $25 rather than $50, and it allows you to get free access to the enhanced switch 2 versions of BoTW and ToTK along with the expansion pack for Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing (you need to already own the Switch 1 versions of those games to get access to that content). Those all range from $10 to $25 on their own. Additionally, you get access to classic NES, SNES, GBA, N64, and now (exclusively on Switch 2) GameCube games. Note that after downloading you do not need to be online to play those games.

Of course, it includes the benefits from the standard $20 Nintendo Switch Online features like online multiplayer and cloud saves.

For me, flawless emulation of those games is pretty nice and worth having the subscription for alone.

Sorry that wasn't clear... I already have a family + expansion. The individual code is useless for me.

So question...with NSO, when you get enhanced versions of TOTK and BOTW (I own both as carts for my Switch 1)...do you need to maintain NSO forever to access those enhanced versions?

Got mine on launch day and don't know what to do with the individual membership code. Wondering how much trouble it would be to try to sell it off for cheap.
I think if you hold on to it until your current family membership expires, you could redeem the free year of individual and then re-select family membership where it'll offer you a conversion (fewer months, but at the higher package).

The enhanced packs are included with the service. Or, you can pay a one time $10 fee per game ($20) and "own" the packs regardless of your online membership.

This is 12 months of access to the upgrades to BoTW/ToTK, but after that 12 months you no longer have access to the upgraded version? Is that accurate?

I'm looking for an individual code. So if you want maybe we can work out a deal?

yes, the upgrades are tied to NSO; much like the Animal Crossing New Horizons DLC

This bundle was $500 at launch (Costco w/NSO). Still a good "deal". Like paying MSRP for a 5000 series GPU is a "deal" these days.

Ah I see now. Thank you. Would you say it is worth having it? I wouldn't say I'm an avid video gamer. Would probably play on occasion.
Basically it includes the unlimited access to their retro collection (NES to GameCube plus Sega), DLC for select Switch 1 games, and online play plus video and voice chat.

I too was wondering about your question. The person who tried to answer it gave a typical eBay answer.

Off-topic, but this is the first time I've been entered into Costco's congestion queue, and I absolutely love that my progress bar icon is an actual icon: The $1.50 Costco Hot Dog. =D
