Is this a good combo in terms of specs and price?

Maybe better to go with 265k bundles, less power consumption, almost the same multi core performance and does not have the issue come with 13th and 14th i7 i9. And now cheaper than 14900k bundle.

Can confirm. I recently purchased the 14900K a few months ago from Microcenter, and it crapped out two months into the ownership. I was under the assumption that all the issues were resolved by Intel after microcode BIOS updates(0x12F).I was running light duty Linux stuff; NAS and media server, and I had a separate syslog server setup monitoring the machine with the 14900k. Surely enough, two months in kernel crashes.

I am one of the ones I had to get a replacement 14700k and Im still having issues with a lot of crashes and suspect that its just an inherant issue with this generation of Intel CPUs. I would stay away from the latest Intel CPUs until they can guarantee that they have resolved all these crash and faulty CPU issues.

Looks like we're operating under a monopoly at this point when it comes to new CPUs huh

Did you update the bios on the motherboard?
