There isn't much of a scam going on here, it's just Ecoflows entry to compete with Ankers C300. I will say that this product is dumb though. The Anker C300 DC is often in the $150 price range and it comes with a lantern built in, a DC car port, and a solar charging input. All things that make it substantially more useful for weekend camping which a device like this is marketed for. This product just doesn't make sense in the ecoflow lineup when their river series exists and it so close in price and size.

This wasn't designed for people who know the ropes. It's designed and marketed for the new guy. Are there better products? Absolutely, but the people buying these don't know that and won't care until they learn.
It sounds to me like this product shouldn't exist, because even stupid people deserve better.
