Yall do realize this is just a DC battery bank right? I don't see why anyone would think it could be used as a UPS or what you would be powering via USB that..... needs that?

There isn't much of a scam going on here, it's just Ecoflows entry to compete with Ankers C300. I will say that this product is dumb though. The Anker C300 DC is often in the $150 price range and it comes with a lantern built in, a DC car port, and a solar charging input. All things that make it substantially more useful for weekend camping which a device like this is marketed for. This product just doesn't make sense in the ecoflow lineup when their river series exists and it so close in price and size.

This feels like it's between a large battery pack and an actual power station, but doesn't offer the strengths of the others. Depending on the situation, I'd just go up to the river 2 pro I have or a 20k battery pack.

Agree on it being a direct competitor to Anker's C200 and 300 DCs, and the DC charging being the idea. The AC inverter in the River 3 line uses wattage when turned on, loses power in the conversion, and adds weight to the unit.Regarding the "DC car port, and a solar charging input," that's in the Trail 300 DC variant: https://us.ecoflow.com/products/t...3980043337The lantern is in the upcoming Trail Plus 300 DC variant: https://us.ecoflow.com/products/t...3980043337One slight edge the two EcoFlow 300's have over the SOLIX is a slighter higher solar input, 110W vs 100W. Also, they weigh less: the SOLIX C300 is 6.17lb, while the Trail 300 is 5.69 lb and the Trail Plus 300 is 4.98 lb -- interestingly, though, the Plus model uses NCM cell chemistry, while the two less expensive variants use LFP. This must be for the weight, but is at the expense of the longevity of the battery.[EDIT]: One other thing that's disappointing about the model lineup is that only the NCM model has app support. The LFP models (this one included) do not have WiFi or Bluetooth.I'm assuming they'll use these to undercut, and cut into the marketshare of, the Anker SOLIX line.

There are a lot of indoor people on here that don't understand these devices.

I'm not as familiar with these packs I just want to run a fan on short outages. Do you think it can handle a box fan?

These smaller units are really to charge portable devices or power small fans when you're out at a camp site or at the beach or something. They're useful for charging smaller batteries for cameras, drones, action cameras or whatever. I find them also handy around my shop area where if I have a smaller corded item like a corded dremel or a soldering iron, I take it with me so I don't have to run a bunch of extension cord for small projects.

This unit is rated at 192wH, so just a few examples would be:

iPhone 13 = 12.41 wH (one charge cycle)
s25 Ultra = 19.25 wH (one charge cycle)
Ryobi 4aH battery = 72 wH (one charge cycle)

Yeah, this is an odd offering.
IMO it should at least have a good 12V Anderson Power Pole (30A+) output to be able to power things like 12V air compressors

A friend brought a Monster 300W station that is honestly more useful than this. I could at least blow up a mattress with that
