I'm not TC'ing and I think this a good deal. But don't be misled by thinking that you can't be scammed on Aliexpress when the item is supposedly shipped from the US. Last year I purchased an item from Ali that showed as delivered with tracking, but I never received it. Seller had shipped a piece of junk to a different address in my city. This is a common scam. Again, I'm not saying this is what will happen with this bike, but if tracking says it was received and you didn't get it, you know what's going on.

I know exactly what you mean. Because of that, I installed "up assistant" extension on Chrome which gives you more in depth analysis on the seller. For example, this seller is getting an 8% trust rating with 15.7% neutral/bad reviews.

I had ordered two of these. One came perfectly packaged brand new box and awesomely packed. The other…they sent me a used broken bike with no padding, no parts or key. Box was destroyed by the time it made it to me with a loose bike bouncing around in it. Aliexpress wants me to ship it back. Shipping cost is 560 dollars… more than the bike. I've opened a dispute with my credit card but who knows what will happen now. Waiting to see what happens. Best part is I can't leave a review on the bad one to give others a warning of what happened when buying an ebike on Aliexpress goes wrong. Really hoping my credit card company does the right thing. The bike is not rideable from damage and doesn't even have the required parts to put it together.

Remind this e-bike is illegal in most states, which usually allows ebikes up to 750W . It may be treated as a motor vehicle and require registration, licensing, and insurance

You're probably right but apparently none of the people around me got the memo.

Actually, you can find a battery with those specs for under 100 on ebay, probably of similar quality.

Unless the maker found good brand used cells they got for free, I would not pay $73.59 for a battery that size, I think you're asking for problems.
If those are new 18650 of any good brand that pack should be $200 minimum.

If that's the same battery in this e-bike I wouldn't buy the bike either.

That's because these companies typically way over inflate their battery capacity and you're not getting quality cells which could fail in very short order or start on fire.

I seriously wonder how the people enforcing it will know if the Ebike is a 750w motor or not. They don't make it obvious...

It's why I think making a law based on watts is dumb. Maybe you need more watts for heavy people or to carry more things. Should have been a law based on how fast an Ebike should be on the road or bike lane because at least you have a speed radar to find out how fast they're going instead of somehow stopping them to look at amount of watts

If you're not speeding or doing something else really dangerous and dumb nobody is going to give you a second look on one of these either way. At least in my part of the country...

I agree with you it's impractical to enforce a law based on the wattage, but the problem with speed limits, is that there are athletic bikers who can ride, (using only human muscles, no motor) over 40mph. Legally, bike riders have the same rights as motorists, so if cars are allowed to drive at 40mph, then bikers should also be allowed to ride that fast on the road. Making a law based on the wattage is kind of an attempt to satisfy both requirements, preserve the right of bikers to ride as fast as cars, but preventing the average Joe to ride recklessly using an e-bike.

If 40mph is dangerous on throttle, it's just as dangerous while pedaling. The only purpose wattage limits accomplish is to prevent ebikes from being a viable alternative to cars.

Yeah... but cyclists are a-holes.

I think that would be harder with a bike since they would have to ship something that weighs a similar amount.

Somone did this to me once. I win my dispute because they shipped me a 2 ounce item that was suppose to way 500 pounds.
