What is Uber One?
  • Uber One is a subscription option which gives you access to benefits such as savings on Uber and Uber Eats.
  • Uber One members receive a $0 Delivery Fee plus up to 10% off eligible orders on restaurants and stores marked with the Uber One icon.
  • Eligible stores will have a gold Uber One icon underneath their names. The merchant storefront lists the required order minimum for benefits to apply, and may change from time to time. Taxes and additional fees which may apply to your order do not count towards the order minimums. Other fees and exclusions may apply.
  • You'll also earn 6% Uber One credits on eligible rides. Look for the Uber One icon to see where your benefits apply.

Worked for me, even with numerous previous free trials (just canceled one a few weeks ago). It was listed under "Payment offers" at the bottom of the Wallet page. FYI, you can cancel immediately and still keep the membership until the expiration date.

Not sure if this will change, but for my order last night it would only allow Uber One perks when PayPal was selected as the checkout option, in which case I couldn't use my gift card credits.

I think you can switch the payment after the order completes (within 30d of the order) to Uber Cash.

I see it under my payment offers, says valid till Sept 30th, I've still got a free trial that's active until August 30th so I think I'll wait till then to activate this one.

Oh this might be a deal breaker for me, I usually get the $100 gift cards from Costco to save some money.

Worked for me as well and I wish I knew about it sooner, my last 3 month trial just expired 4 days ago and since I had credit I splurged and did a non-Uber One order. I will lose sleep over the unnecessary fees I paid.

I don't see it, probably because I just ended the free 3 month plan recently. I've been pretty underwhelmed by uber recently, compared to doordash, both from fees and service in general.

can you try checking to see if you split the payment, whether Uber one discounts will still apply? like 0.01 on PayPal and the rest on gc

still have $300+ Uber GC from Costco in my account, not sure it's worth to pay w/ PayPal to get Uber One benefit?

What's good about Uber One anyway? Read the page and don't feel anything particularly exciting...
I don't ride uber at all, only use uber eat to get pickup from local restaurants, for BOGO and other offers locally sometimes

I also buy GCs from Costco. I signed up for the offer, and it's giving me the $0 delivery fee and discounts on other fees when paying the entire amount with my gift card balance.
