well, this one is foldable, which is a little better vs the non-foldable others of this type for the same price.
wished it had vents on the bottom so it blows in both directions.

i think i prefer the belt one that blows up your shirt for the same price.
i would buy that if it's on sale again

I own multiple models of both types of fans and neither one will replace the localized cooling of the other. neck fans are good for that area. belt fans can be great for circulating air up your back/torso. Honestly, I've used both form factors simultaneously many times in the Georgia summer heat and to help with bugs. I can't speak to this particular model but I prefer having access to both neck and belt fans and the flexibility that allows

They ARE closer to the ears when worn. The ones I have aren't too loud on their own but when they are on the neck you do hear the whirling in stereo over everything else which becomes annoying. One of the reasons I'm not a fan (pun intended lol).

Get the non-turbo hand held style with the bendable handle that can be worn around the neck or placed on a desk. Not too loud and more versatile.

I paid 3 bucks for this in temu last year. These neck fans don't work much when you are strolling in hot weather. Only good if you are using it in shade
