I've been using this for a couple of years and it's great. It seems to do a perfect job of repelling mosquitoes and does have a nice clean feeling when applied. I have a terrible problem with mosquitoes attacking my ankles and I've never had a bite when this is on my skin.

Picaridin is a synthetic compound derived from black pepper plants. It's as effective as DEET but doesn't dissolve plastic like DEET will. After picaridin dries, it doesn't leave a chemical smell like DEET. It's also non-greasy.

I had no idea DEET ate through plastic until last year..we had a slightly leaking can, so put it in a plastic cup..ate through the cup and started lifting the paint in the cabinet it was in. No more DEET products after that, haha.
