I noticed that Lowes has the HD Fire Stick on sale for $17.99. Generally the same price as the Amazon sale, but I had Lowes Rewards $ to spend so this worked great for me. I know everyone isn't a fan of the fire stick, but works great for beach/rental properties.

Another SDer (thinking_soul) pointed out they they also have additional models on sale:

4K $29.99 - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Amazon-A...5015387357

Max $34.99 - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Amazon-F...5015278265

I read somewhere that amazon was going to start blocking sideloading apps. Something to check before buying these. Might be better off buying the Walmart Onn if that is the case.

I used to buy these. Have the max etc…never again. After they started putting ads on them automatically it sucks. The Apple device is ten times better and worth the investment. No abrasive ads on startup and standby and much better interface.

Edit: thanks for posting deal though op. It remains a lower cost option that works for its purpose.

Some accounts (apparently not all) on Amazon can get the 4k Max 2025 for $30. Haven't checked the other models.

Any way to prevent Amazon from deleting sideloaded apps? I've already turned off automatic updating, but lost my IPTV app...

Onn is my next purchase.

ETA: Top of the line Onn is down to $44.73 if purchased online (Walmart doesn't always have the same price in store).

No reason to buy a Firestick if they do that. The interface is absolutely horrid.

Amazon says they lose money on each one of these I wonder how Walmart manages to want to participate in the business if that's true..

Also it's still pitiful amount of memory on these come on Amazon 32 gig isn't too much to ask in 2025..
