Guys, when you clean the back filter on a Dyson, make sure you allow it to COMPLETELY dry before using it again. I made the mistake of not letting it dry fully so when I started the vacuum, the suction pulled the water from the filter into the unit and damaged the circuit board. Allstate refused to fix it due to water damage. I had to replace the entire main unit of the vacuum .

I bought the refurb, figured if I didn't like it I could return through eBay easily.

Not in original packaging(I think), came in a brown box with each piece in their own smaller box.

Basically looked brand new, didn't even see dust inside the cylinder nor any of the attachments.

I got the SV28 Extra. I didn't do enough pre-purchase research (and never had a Dyson before), and only found out upon receiving the unit that the SV28 is an older generation with the LED screen. The new LCD screen shows the remaining battery capacity in terms of time. This refurb SV28 shows battery life in the 3 line segments (no number). I got mine from the eBay store.

Re-reading the descriptions of both listings carefully, I believe the Torque Drive+ version has the LCD screen with time showing.

That being said, I don't know much about Dyson generations, and a cursory research told me that the first SV28 variant is newer than the original V11 Torque Drive+ variant. Maybe the refurb Torque Drive+ version is newer than the old SV28 that I bought, but I don't really know.

Got one and it looks new. Very powerful suction. Good price. However, was surprised that it is MUCH heavier than our 2 other Dysons. Be aware of this factor if you have a disability or back issue, since you may then prefer a lighter weight model.

Received mine today. Looks brand new. If it was refurbished, they really did a nice job. The amount of suction the vacuum has is way more than expected. Much stronger than my old corded Shark stick vac.

Also be very careful for water contact. Even with very small amount of water may cause kill your Dyson, it doesn't need to reach motor/electronics. Water will cake the dust in cyclone assy and makes it uncleanable.

For those that have received their v11, does it have the led screen and adaptive motorhead? I had gotten the v11 extra from the dyson website a few weeks back and it comes with an older lcd screen and no auto mode...
