This is the first high capacity drive which has lasted being kept in my car. I use it for music while in the mountains.

These are quite heat resistant so I've been using to store media in my vehicle without any issue, even through multiple heatwaves with the car parked outside and the drive plugged into the car the whole time.

These start out great but their contents rapidly degrade. That 400MB/s sequential read speed will drop like a rock on data that isn't freshly written.

Where the heck are the USB-C versions of small USB drives like these?! Seems like all the USB-C drives are considerably larger.

After 3 years of daily use, I have not seen any performance degradation from either of my 256MB Fit's. One sits full time in my ThinkPad, and the other sits nearly full time in a vehicle, while removed occasionally for content tweaking. Just bought the new 512GB version, though I have not put it into service yet, so can't comment on it, but hoping for likewise good things.

I have the bar version of this flash drive and the write speed has fallen off a cliff after a couple of years.

There are some drawbacks, such as slower peak speeds, but one alternative I've used is to buy a micro SD card and adapter.

You can find some decently fast adapters, like this one.
