It's less optimized and needs a fast Internet connection. It's worse than 2020 in that aspect, that's why the price has been dropping.

I loved FS 2020 but tried playing this when it came out and I couldn't get anything to load even with a fast connection. I wish they just allowed you to download the full game instead of essentially streaming it from their servers.

No, it redeems through Xbox store. You can use the Xbox app to play it on PC using Play Anywhere. Kinda like how you play Game Pass games.

This game still have serious issues and is mostly unplayable on Xbox compared to FS2020. It's a good price but expect minimum of 6 more months before it's any good

This is definitely worse than 2020. I have access to both games through Game Pass and the 2024 was almost unplayable. I've played like 200 hours of 2020 and forced myself to play a few hours of 2024 and decided to stick with 2020.

2024 has fun career mode. But Lots of bugs, grind money by medium cargo and finally bought a new 737, it crashed immediately as soon as getting into cockpit, cost me 10 million to repair.
