Very useful tool. I use it to dry things faster such as paint, glue etc. Also good for removing old stickers and labels

Read reviews on the heat gun, terrible product. They were on clearance for $25 two months ago in store.

Edit: I realize the clearance was YMMV and only available at select stores.

I was about to start searching for a heat gun to help restore some faded plastic. I am already well invested into the ridgid product line as well. Thank you OP!

Seems like a terrible tool to be battery powered. Good price for 2 4ah batteries though.

I have the milwaukee heat gun which is pretty much the same gun as the Ridgid. It does work but takes awhile to get to temperature. Use a 5.0 or larger battery and the heat gun tips and it works fine but definately not as hot or quick as a corded heat gun.

This seems like a good deal for the (2) 4.0 max batteries and you are paying $30 - $40 for the heat gun since the 4.0 max 2 pack goes on sale $109-$119 regularly.

Heard for the most part, battery powered heat guns aren't as effective, therefore not really worth purchasing
