I think just about everything that is sold in CA has a P65 warning.

WARNING: This product can expose you to Formaldehyde (gas), which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to: www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Some of the Costco sofa / sectionals say this, but others do not.

Yes, but the point is some don't. You have to wonder what they did to avoid that.

My theory is, they used something far worse, that we just don't understand the danger of yet. Prop 66 will address that in 2055.

Only select states have the warning because a law was passed, whereas the disclosure law wasn't passed in the states where it doesn't have a warning. It's the exact same sofa made of the exact same materials no matter what state you get it from.

From what that other poster was saying, some couches on Costco have prop65 warning and some don't.

We don't believe in cancer and don't know what reproductive harm means in Ohio, so I'm not too worried about the prop65 warning. I'll just make sure not to take this to CA so I don't get cancer. 😉
Looking for a comfy sectional I can both entertain with and nap on, for my screened porch. It would be just slightly exposed to the elements on one side but somewhat protected otherwise, so I'm thinking of going with indoor furniture rather than uncomfortable patio junk. Open to recommendations.

Do you have pollen in the spring where you live? You wouldn't be able to hose this off like you could patio furniture

Better patio furniture might be the way to go.

I bought this and returned it for several reasons.

The couch wasn't very comfortable, the cushions have very little depth so it isnt easy to relax on them, it feels very upright and unnatural.

The biggest issue was with the sleeper section. I intended to have this part pulled out when it's just me and my partner at home to have a more loungey area to sit. When pulled out, the sleeper section creates a significant gap between the end of the sleeper and the other part of the couch. Big enough for remotes/phones to fall in as well as my dogs feet. It was way too annoying to deal with so we returned it.

How did the Costco return work?

You order and they deliver for free. (did it come in a box or wrapped?)
You didn't like it so you returned it - they picked it up and brought it back for free?
Did you have to put it back in the box (or the wrapping) when returning?

Thank you for the information

CA Prop 65 lists SAWDUST EXPOSURE as a requirement for listing. Meaning if your furniture has wood, by CA law, it must show Prop 65 unless it was grown and harvested as planks, with nature's own screw holes.

They will deliver and set it up for you. If you request return, they will come in and load it for return. No need to re-box e.t.c. Pretty straight forward process. If you buy in store, you have to return it there.
