I bought this to place it inside Model Y's sub trunk. It works well but I would buy something bigger if it was for the sub trunk size limitation.

Just a FYI, it doesn't like Texas heat.. or at least in the Houston area. Never got below 57 degrees in the trunk of the truck regardless how long it's been running. They sent me a replacement.... same thing. Insulation isn't made for Texas Sun.

My understanding is the 53 won't fit under a pickup tonneau cover. Planning on plugging in to the built in generator on my F150.

Per AMZ comments, this is resolved with the $65 insulated cover:https://www.amazon.com/BougeRV-In...B08K795LD1

You need the extra insulation cover, I know it's BS but it does make a difference. I just got my 53qt and temps have been cooking for the last two months, hot and extreme humidity

These are great. I have the BougeRV CRPRO 30 Quart. It was the biggest I could get that when in the box meets airline check in size limits. It's been to Hawaii a few times, Montana a few times, and up and down the west coast and still kicking after a few years. The insulated cover is a must.
