Lowest I've ever seen is $210 so this is a great deal.

What issues do you think this printer has? I haven't had to fix anything on mine in over a year of use.

How does this compare to a Bambu printer? Obviously this is half price, just wondering what I'd be missing.

Flashforge customer service is non existent. They will answer your email with a script response with questions you already answered, months later and ghost you from there

If you are really tight on budget, get this. I have two 5Ms. Next step up would be the Centauri Carbon from Elegoo.
However, if you have a more polished and elegant solution (but not necessarily higher print quality) then go with Bambu.

I got one from FB marketplace a year ago. I feel like it's a p1p clone in many ways, definitely in form factor, coreXY, speed and appearance. The quality is pretty good and it's so much faster than my Ender 3. I doubt it's as polished as an experience as the p1p but I didn't mind as I was used to having to fix / upgrade my ender 3. I had a great experience with CS actually. The used unit I got from FB had a broken screen and cable, and the CS rep was able to send a replacement screen and ribbon cable for free.

Also, the AD5M uses a proprietary hotend, but if you look around you can find 3rd party replacements (~$10) that use standard replaceable nozzles.

If you don't have experience fixing issues with a 3d printer, this will likely not be the 3d printer for you, unless you want to learn that stuff. If you just want to unbox and start printing, then the Bambu would be for you.

I'm probably one of your nit pickier customers, and I've gotta say.... FF is anything but bad CS. On the forums they've got great feedback for CS too!

My experience was great. I emailed, got reached out, got instructions on what to do next. That didn't work, so sent me warranty parts. It took a while I will admit, but they never ghosted me.

Nonetheless, I wouldn't keep my AD5m stock...

Aftermarket Nozzles are a must (stock nozzles are expensive, and not interchangable), aftermarket plates are highly reccomended (It's a fun printer, get some FUN plates!). I dont think you'll never need to get the enclosure kit. It doesn't seal well, it pops the magnets out all the time (very annoying), and makes the printer more fragile (it's a task to move with the enclosure kit - it's a cool, but i feel a fairly poor design).

You can also find the original hotends on AliExpress for $17 apiece. I picked up the whole set (.25, .4, .6, and .8) for less than $70.

I bought one of these about a month ago with the ebay deal. Took it out of the box and started printing. I've had zero problems and been printing models like crazy. Had maybe 1 out of 20 prints fail because of lack of adhesion to the bed (part falls over) but like with everything like this there's a learning curve. Been happy with it for what I spent which was more than this deal. I have no idea about making a purchase like this with Ali express as I've only ever bought small things from there.

Thanks, in for 1. Didn't really need another printer, but it seems to check all the boxes. And supporting open source firmware is a huge plus. They also had the enclosure kit on Amazon Used-Like New for $19.

I think that might be because the default PLA profile has a cool 50C bed temp instead of 55 or 60.

I can only say good things about Flashforge CS, So far, responding almost 24 hours after 3 e-mails (each for a different issue, I have 6 5M PRO), Quick analysis of the problem, 2 was something that needed parts and got them in 9 days, 1 issue was something I could fix myself with their instructions, but they chose to send me a nozzle for compensation.

I guess this is a matter of luck on who you fall, but 3 issues, 3 different people.
The only issue is that they probably use Google Translate, as their answers are sometimes hard to understand/funny.
