I'm still showing it as available. Try logging in again. That can help sometimes.

you're the first i've heard say that. when i wanted to buy one all i could find was a zillion people asking how to fix issues and mod theirs so that it would print to an acceptable standard
The previous threads on this printer are filled with positive experiences.

I got one from FB marketplace a year ago. I feel like it's a p1p clone in many ways, definitely in form factor, coreXY, speed and appearance. The quality is pretty good and it's so much faster than my Ender 3. I doubt it's as polished as an experience as the p1p but I didn't mind as I was used to having to fix / upgrade my ender 3. I had a great experience with CS actually. The used unit I got from FB had a broken screen and cable, and the CS rep was able to send a replacement screen and ribbon cable for free. Also, the AD5M uses a proprietary hotend, but if you look around you can find 3rd party replacements (~$10) that use standard replaceable nozzles.
I wanted to add that if you do go with the 3rd party hotend / nozzle, you have to push it in all the way and you'll know when it clicks into place. The reviews are poor on some sites but almost all the bad reviews complain about the hotend falling out.
Also you'll probably have to adjust the z height as it's about 0.2mm longer. You can adjust the z height, but oddly only during an active print. To do this, I start a print, wait for it to heat up, and then pause and adjust the z height and then see how it is. It was a bit of trial and error to get the best height, and I wouldn't use your best build surface just in case it crashes into the bed. The z height I use is +0.325mm which is 0.325mm lower.

You need to run a full calibration after you change the nozzle, I have five of these all running aftermarket nozzle setups. You should not need to adjust the Z height after running the full calibration unless a particular filament needs a little Z tweaking.. Zero issues, they all work great. I had one factory nozzle fail, they immediately sent me another. Thousands of hours printing on mine.

Still worth it as an entry level at this price. Anything $220 and under, IMO is a decent to good deal on this printer.

It's not a bambu, prusa, or qidi, but it's a GREAT entry level. A fun starter printer for anyone at any age.

I still feel bad selling mine's, but the bed was too small for me. Otherwise, aside from my few interactions with CS, and the fact I had to tighten my belts at ~100-200hrs, it was a great workhorse for PETG & PLA!

I'll be one of the others to say that I got the pro version and really didn't do much to it. it worked perfectly fine stock. print quality and speed was pretty darn solid in general. If you want to talk about tinker hell, lets look over to Creality. Now those printers need serious tinkering to get to work on par.

Better price than the Elegoo Centauri (non-carbon) that never was.

How does this compare to a Bambu printer? Obviously this is half price, just wondering what I'd be missing.
Depends on what you want to do. If you want to print right out of the box get a Bambu. If you want to troubleshoot this printer as the hobby then get this printer.

I got mine yesterday and the only thing I had to do manually was calibrate e-steps (a bit of under-extrusion with the stock settings for me). The automatic calibration took care of the rest and it's been printing great. Forge-X was also really simple to install.

Based on what evidence? This has 100% not been my experience with the 5M. Perhaps I'm just above average. Wink

Mine currently has over 600 hours of print time that I and my 9 year old son use often. Printer worked straight out of the box with no issues or breakages yet.
