Really annoyed that Logitech thinks they're a premium brand, enough to charge this much for a mediocre, low-tech webcam. (I have the previous generation which cost this much, and is merely OK or arguably worse than product 1/3 the price.) You are paying for their fat salaries and expensive marketing campaigns.

Same experience here - the Logitech software on MacOS really sucks too. 1000x better is to get a used iPhone 12 and keep that as dedicated desktop cam.

wonder what is the real purpose of a 4K UHD cam? are there any video conferencing software that sends 4K@30fps?
I still have my pre-covid 920 which outputs 1080p, and seems most UC software are capped at 720p unless using a commercial license.

Mainly its that you can change the focal length (crop in or track) without loss in resolution when streaming at 1080p -- and, downsampling always looks better.
