Correct me if I'm wrong, but that angle grinder uses proprietary X-LOCK wheels. IMO, not such a great deal since you can't just get consumables anywhere.

I just tried it again and it still worked. Make sure there is no trailing space after the code. When I did a copy, it added a trailing space.
Code still doesn't work. Even wrote the code myself, and doing the copy + paste, then backspacing. Nothing. Thanks for the help though

That's strange as my Black & Decker Outdoor Solar-Powered Path Light was delivered today and it's better than I expect, 8 pieces for $18.99 with real glass dorms and real metal posts (description said stainless).

If you're careless with power tools this can happen even with a paddle switch. It doesn't "cut off" once you release the paddle. It gradually slows from 10-15k RPM until it either stops on its own volition or comes into contact with something to decrease its speed more abruptly. I'd be more concerned about a grind disk shattering from too much side loading over somehow losing control of the tool.
The XAG26 18V LXT paddle switch model has a brake that works quite well. The paddle is a pro / con depending on preference. I love the paddle for safety, but your grip might get tired with longer tasks. Far more expensive than this as well. That being said, if you're on a strict budget, definitely don't go for X-lock. I love the convenience, but everything is more expensive and harder to find. Bosch may have a better system too given that there is no pin involved.

At any rate, great price if you're willing to forgo some extra features and are OK with paying up for X-lock accessories. Now that I'm saying it, this occupies an odd niche. Perhaps that's why it's so heavily clearance. Maybe it's better to pay up for all the high end options or avoid X-lock on the cheaper end. 🤷🏻

I live the convenience, but everything is more expensive and harder to find. Bosch may have a better system too given that there is no pin involved. Makita uses a pin to ensure compatibility with all iterations of X-lock. It doesn't bother me at all personally and find that it would be hard to lose given that you always put it right back in the tool. So you're speaking of a specific model of angle grinder, I'm saying in general paddle switch grinders don't have a brake. Also, Bosch also adopted the x-lock system for a lot of their grinders. Not sure what "pin" you're referring to for either brand?

Thank you, but this didn't work for me on the angle grinder.

This isn't true. There are paddle switch grinders that incorporate a brake. In fact, the xag26 from Makita I referenced has a brake while the 25 slide switch does not. Bosch developed the X-lock system and licensed the tech to makita iirc. Please disregard my comments on the pin. In my sleep deprived state, I somehow mashed up X-lock and starlock. 🤪

For reference...

It has AFT and an electric brake that comes to a complete stop in less than two seconds. It's not exactly saw stop instantaneous, but I agree with everyone who says these tools are dangerous. I'm willing to pay up a bit for that extra safety.
I'll also agree that in the end, all grinders spin a wheel very fast and will accomplish the same goal in the end for the most part. You just have to decide what features are important to you. If it's all about lifetime cost of ownership, this doesn't win despite it being a reputable brand for dirt cheap. X-lock will cost more in the long run if you use the tool enough. Just my opinion of course.

PSA for newbie grinder users... cutoff wheels expire. Don't risk life and limb on expired discs. Having a chunk of shattered disc removed from your arm or head will not be fun. That is all.
