Similar to the deal that ended on 7/30, Chase IHG is offering 10% back @ home improvement stores with a max CB of $50. I added that offer to my card but neglected to use it by 7/30. This offer might be YMMV and it's likely that usage of the prior offer affects its availability in your account.

T&C:

Get a leg up on home projects this summer with 10% cash back on any purchase at a home improvement store, with a $50 cash back maximum. To take advantage, activate your offer and make a purchase by 8/31/2025.

Offer expires 8/31/2025. Purchase must be made directly with the merchant, not through a third party or delivery service. Offer valid one time only.

Merchants who accept Visa/Mastercard credit cards are assigned a merchant code, which is determined by the merchant or its processor in accordance with Visa/Mastercard procedures based on the kinds of products and services they primarily sell. We group similar merchant codes into categories for purposes of making rewards offers to you.

Merchants in this category specialize in selling a variety of home improvement supplies, from larger home improvement stores to smaller hardware stores. Purchases from contractors or specialists for providing a home improvement service are not eligible in this category. Merchants that sell a wide variety of general goods which may include home improvement supplies, for example, warehouse clubs, discount stores, or grocery stores, are not included in this category. Also, merchants that specialize in wholesale or commercial sales, home furnishings, garden and landscaping supplies are not included.

It says Chase IHG is offering 50% back, shouldn't it be 10% back?

So you would need to spend $500 to get the max $50 back.

Huh?

10% back with a max CB of $50 which is a $500 spend.

Even if you don't give a hoot about hardware, HD and Lowes both sell 3rd party GCs.

Not to say its not a deal. But 10% is barely sales tax here in FL. So unless you already are buying something I wouldnt go out of my way. Specially with max of $50 reward lol.

Well, the way I see it is would I like a 10% discount at Amazon? Frankly we'd go through $500 - so is it worth my time for $50 to go buy a GC and redeem it?
