From my experience, I bought 3 of these from Woot, they all experience some type of bearing noise at low speed. A new one should be virtually silent. Either way, even with the noise, its a great deal on a fan

I bought the black version with the misting attachment from a local liquidator for $100 just this past weekend. We use it in our back porch to provide airflow under a gazebo and I'm very happy with it so far. if you doing need the misting attachment, it's a steal at $70

imho, this is not a slick deal when you can buy a Vornado brand new for a few dollars more. i've had my Vornado large room air circulator for about 15 years now. everything comes apart easy for cleaning and lubrication which i do every 2 or so years. never had an issue with bearing noise. mine is very quiet at low speed. and not so quiet at hurricane gale force speed. the amount of air that mine moves is nuts. the actual noise is from the sheer air volume, not the motor.

this isnt an air circulator, its one of those room fan that oscilates. what differentiates it from others is the head can be removed from the stand and be set down like tripod. you can take it to a picnic setting, outdoors at a porch or balcony and it'll fan you left right left right for the whole afternoon and evening. got 4-7 hours of battery. Air circulators works better in Rooms. This one got mist accessory you can use to help in hotter days outside. Cable detaches at the bottom and I had it plugged in at all times, defeats the purpose of a "battery" fan. I had bought this fan like 2 years ago, returned later as I didnt have much stationary outdoorsy activities. Maybe parents who sits by watching their kids play in the park will find it to be perfect.
