The official Creality Refurb eBay store has a bunch of 3D printers (and scanners) on sale, and there is a %15 off coupon making the deals even sweeter.

The amount you can save depends on how much risk you want to take with respect to warranty, and if you decide to go for the cheapest, there are tons of posts/videos on how to repair and/or upgrade all of the parts on this printer that can wear out / break (tips, gears, etc.).

The K1 Max retails for $799 right now, and the K2 Plus CFS combo is $1300 (I think)

Apply coupon "FIFTEENFORYOU" to cart on items below to get 15% discount for the final prices in the title.

Honestly, if it works out of the box you probably won't get much use out of the warranty. It's usually pretty easy to tell if these refurbs are worth keeping as soon as you look at them. And the warranty is often more frustrating to make a claim on than it's worth.

This is my concern with Creality refurbs. I was lucky and got a "for parts" Ender 3 S1 pro that was basically new in box. However, given all the reports here I would be very concerned about issues. Certainly open and check right away.

I've had a few Creality printers and want unhappy. The issue is if you get a bad refurb. If I knew these were good returns I would say go for it!

This is the one I am thinking really hard about. I actually have a K1 Max on the way from B&H that will show up tomorrow, I paid $500 for used, condition 9/minor wear. This is my first 3d printer, been drinking from an information firehose for a few weeks now(but know a bit from following it for years), 3d printing is a deep ass rabbit hole! I found these deals while searching for deals on accessories (like a CFS addon), and this K2 Plus Combo deal is only a few $ more than my K1Max +CFS addon, and it comes with a 2 year Allstate warranty vs. my 90 day B&H warranty.

Part of what I have been learning is the modding/upgrading/repair info and community on these printers is vibrant, so the risk feels a bit less than for buying a refurb thing where a community like this doesn't exist. These do have 30 day return policy as well, atlhough it sounds like a difficult process to return? I dunno, there is a lot of good feedback, but there is also some pretty nasty feedback too, it sounds like luck may play a part here.

I am keeping an eye on this as I have no idea what will show up tomorrow from B&H. Almost always the stuff I get used from B&H is excellent, better than described condition, but once or twice (out of like 60-70 orders, mostly lenses and photography stuff) I did get something that wasn't as good as it should have been. If I end up getting a lemon, I think I am gonna jump on this K2 combo deal if it is still alive.

Not true. Bought one. Worked great then broke. Replaced the part but wouldn't work. Gave me the choice to mail back or get a local price to repair.

Mailed it back and they refunded next day. You need to take it apart and the person is just looking at a bunch of pieces. They aren't going to waste the time trying to fix it.

I seem to have had the opposite experience with Creality service as most. Bought a Ender 3 V3 KE refurbished off of eBay and the USB port was dead and the hot end fan was noisy. Contacted support, they had me test a couple things and send them a video of the fan. They then sent me a brand new motherboard and a new extruder fan. Also bought a Ender 3 V3 Plus refurbished off of eBay and it looked like new except one of the hot end wires looked a little frayed and the insulation was cracked. Again contacted support and sent them a picture and they sent me a new hot end.

Support wasn't fast, usually took 2 days for replies and took another week for the part, but they replaced everything that was wrong. Now I'm debating upgrading the V3 Plus for the K1 Max as I really would like an enclosure.

I received the K1 Max yesterday from B&H yesterday, and it was definitely more used & abused than the "9 Very good condition; overall looks clean but may have minor signs of use/surface marks", and customer service has been closed since i received it, so not sure where I am at. Most of the printer was OK, but the print bed (both the magnetically attached build plate and the main print bed underneath) are scratched/gouged to hell. I had to clean a ton of crap (glue stick residue, extruded media) off of the build plate before I could even see the permanent gouges in the build plate. So now I have been researching replacing both the plate and the bed, and while the bed is easy and is a thing most people do anyway, the bed is a lot more expensive to replace and not nearly as easy (because of the heaters and all of that). I still have to get the bed mesh out of Orca to see if the bed is out of wack.

So once I can talk to B&H tomorrow when they are open again, if the can cover the cost of the plate and bed, or something along those lines, then I will probably keep it. If not, then I will be ordering this K2 plus combo deal, and I can post here what my experience is...

I got the K2 plus combo with this deal, and it came in about a week and was under $1000 after tax. The printer had minor scratches on the outside, but overall it was in great condition. It didn't have a spare nozzle or full filament rolls and the bed had a few scratches so I e-mailed the ebay account, and they are sending a new nozzle, print bed, and filament sample.
The printer had 104 hours on it when I got it and it had one saved previous print from May that took about 13 hours. I am guessing that the print saved on the machine was the test print after refurbishment. I have already put nearly another 100 hours on the machine with no issues.
This is the best large form printer for the price. I debated between this and the Bambu Labs and Prusa equivalents and this is significantly cheaper while still giving great print quality. I upgraded from an Ender 3 pro that I had for about 10 years that would occasionally have issues but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a cheap component. I don't get why Creality gets the hate that it gets. They have been amazing printers for me. I enjoy tinkering with them and all of the fixes I have had to make were small and easy.
