Bought the Q Revo on a similar deal. Base looked basically new, united obviously looked used though not abused. It was mostly clean. Did not think we would use the mop as much as we do. Only downside on mop with has been addresses in newer models is, it doesn't get to the wall. There is .5 -1" it cannot mop due to its shape. Newer ones have arms. For the price and if you're looking for a newer model any of these are great.

I got the Q Revo Master a couple of weeks ago with the other coupon. It's on sale again now too, but I don't think it gets listed because the discount isn't as much. The unit looked brand new, but I did have a problem with the dock - it kept reporting error 52 and 53 when attempting to empty the dirty water. The communication with Roborock via eBay isn't bad, but they only reply once a day or so - and usually very late at night (after midnight, Central TZ). They sent me a UPS return label to send them the whole thing back, and they said they will send a replacement once they confirm the return. So far, other than the annoyance of sending the unit back, the support has been decent.

Which one is better for carpet only floor: DREAME L20 Ultra or Roborock Q5 Max+? The former is higher tier, has all bells and whistles, but it's Dreame and it's HUGE compared to Roborock. The latter is much more ascetic and the suction power is much lower 5.5kPa vs 7.0kPa which in theory should be important for the carpet cleaning. On the flip side, some people call those suction power wars marketing BS. Anyone care to weigh in? TIA

Bought the Q Revo a few weeks ago for similar price on their last promotion. Mine looked brand new. Had a Roborock S5 prior to this which lasted about 5 years before before it stopped working. What a difference this is in comparison. For the price I don't think you can beat it. I have mainly wood floors and the cleaning method is so much better having the mop pads that actually rotate and then get automatically cleaned at the docking station. Seeing the dirty water bin fill up brings some satisfaction. I have some carpeted rooms and so far it seems to do the job in picking up debris. The self emptying dustbin is a huge benefit. I have a dog and the dustbin on the old roborock would sometimes fill up after one cleaning session. Now that goes into the docking station bag. The improved design of the roller also made a difference with the pet fur as that typically would get caught up in the roller. It's not perfect but definitely seen significantly less (like 80% less) in the roller than before. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Obstacle avoidance is a huge selling point for me and I don't think the Q5 Max+ has any obstacle avoidance? It was a huge upgrade going from one with lidar only to one with a camera and obstacle avoidance. I don't think I'd be concerned about a difference in suction. With carpet, robot vacuums just aren't going to clean as nicely as a corded vacuum or good cordless, so I'd still plan to need to run a more powerful vacuum occasionally while it maintains things day to day.

How does this compare to Narwa or Dreame?

This refurbished model q5 lacks automatic washing and drying features, which makes it a poor value proposition. I recently purchased the new Q Revo S at Target for $370 - a much more advanced robot with significantly better capabilities. I was able to save even more by combining a 20% teacher/student discount at Target's +tax-free week.

I own several Roborock vacuums: S5, S6, and S8 MaxV Ultra. None of them can remove dog hair very well from carpet fibers. These vacuums are good at keeping the general level of dust and free-floating hair (like on floors) down, but they can't compete with removing animal fur from fibers like a normal plug-in vacuum.

Oh how I hate the design of these units. I've got a roborock that I bought off of a slick deal and I used it one time and it's still sitting in the box. I can't remember the model number. the Q5 or whatever. the problem with the roborock ones that have the docking station is the one I have has an exceedingly small dustban and it doesn't return when it's full. so it's full in 5 minutes and when it returns back to the docking station, the docking station tries to suck the dirt back out of the bin past the roller assembly which is a super no-go. they had to be robo stoned design that model to suck the hair and dust and debris backwards out over the roller assembly. are they crazy? forget robo rocks stick with ecovax. keep it simple. you don't need a tower. what's important is having a large onboard dust bin? keep it simple folks

Agreed, but my partner is very concerned about the cameras as they believe the stream could be hacked into. Not sure how legitimate this concern is, but have to find a middle ground. So far the difference in suction power was not really noticeable. And yes, I don't see these little robots as a replacement to thorough cleaning but as a convenient day-to-day cleanliness maintaining solution.

FYI the warranty is through a 3rd party. If you have any issues after your return period is over you have to reach out to the 3rd party and not the seller. The seller will tell you they are out of the picture at that point and will tell you to go handle it with 3rd party warranty company.

actually great but get extra parts so you can just swap them out and keep vacuuming while you do the maintenance on the dirty roller. they will roll up long dog hair into the rollers and it wraps around them tightly. pain to remove, UNLESS you use the included tool with the robot in its trunk that's specifically designed to cut out the hair that does this. takes maybe 5-10 minutes depending on your OCD levels and how clean you want to get it again. I do this maybe once a quarter with mine. but it will absolutely cure your dog hair issues with a well tailored schedule, quarterly cleanings, and just trusting it to do its job.
