For those of you who switch off every year between you and your spouse being the primary member, so you can take advantage of the new member deal….

How does that affect Costco's excellent return policy when the membership you bought something under is now cancelled?

It's tempting to cancel and start over BUT I want my expensive electronics, furniture, tires etc to continue to have what is essentially a protection plan pseudo warranty. I'm not going to return a cheap chair a year later, but if for example an expensive recliner stops working at 4 months I absolutely would bring it back.

So the 0.01 discount has been applied, does that mean I am eligible for the $45 costco shop card? Its 2025 and companies still doesn't have a clear indication whether we are getting the promo or not.

How do you even get that to work nowadays? Last time I tried this, the member promo team denied it because of the same household address and the 18 months cooldown applies to that address.

For physical card, you'll get at the store. For gas you can use the Costco app for the member QR code to scan at the gas station. Even getting into the warehouse you can use just your QR code at the entrance and at checkout.

If I'm correct, and others correct me if wrong, it's best to sign up on 1st of the month to maximize your membership length as opposed to signing on let's say August 22. If you sign up today, I believe your membership starts day of signup and not when you get a physical card.

My spouse is the primary member, and I'm currently on her membership. If she were to remove me today, could I apply for this immediately, or would I need to wait 18 months? If immediately, does it matter that my address is the same as when I was on my spouse's membership?

I've bought the membership+ shop card bundle many times and they always refuse to actually send me a shop card or add one to my account online.

Costco let me order, then canceled. I believe my memberships ended well over 18 month ago, so have to check with them. But seeing that 1 cent discount, apparently, doesn't mean much.

I believe that is how it works. Choose create account and then you get the payment page.
