This scooter has every reason not to buy. Small battery that probably won't last 30 minutes of riding. Low max motor power meaning that it'll be crawling going up any hill. You need 800 watts to get some decent speed on hill. No suspension stacked on top of the honeycomb tire meaning you'll feel every tiniest bump riding in the city.

I just got this delivered yesterday. I weigh about 200 lbs and I got about 7 miles with full throttle during most of my test drive which topped out at 14.99 mph even with the app setting. The charging was kind of weird because after running it to 0% within the app, I later got home and plugged it in but it showed 35% after about 5-10 minutes. I took it immediately back out into my neighborhood and was able to get another 1.5 miles or so before it started getting a little sluggish in speed. I'm not sure if its a safety feature to not drop below a certain voltage or if the battery is not calibrated correctly. But aside from that it seems pretty decent for the price. The vibrations do hurt my hands after about 10-15 minutes of riding so it might be a good idea to get a scooter with a suspension.

Here's the thing. Like others have mentioned, that is a really small battery. If this scooter sits around unused for any amount of time, that battery's efficiency will degrade even more, which means even less range. This scooter has a 187.2wh battery. Assuming you aren't riding at the max advertised speed of 19mph, but somewhere around 14-15mph and not taking into account weight, temperature, and inclines, let's say you're averaging 25wh of discharge per mile. Your range is going to be around 7.5 miles under ideal conditions. Add in those other factors, and 5 miles of range is probably more realistic. All that said, it could be a nice scooter for younger kids.

I mean it's $108.... But 5.2Ah is the smallest battery I've ever seen in a scooter. Even my cell phone has 5.5Ah nowadays
Even if you are horrible at math, think about the physical size of a phone's battery versus what you think a scooter's would be.

Bad comparison with the phone, but you're not wrong about it being small.

The last Segway I had was over 10k on the battery. Still probably a good price for short trips

5500mAH = 5aH is a standard phone battery nowadays. I did that conversion, just forgot the voltage

I have this scooter, I paid over $250 for it a couple years ago. It does go faster when you unlock the speed settings in the app via bluetooth. It says max of 19mph I believe, but thats probably someone weighing under 100lbs on flat ground with a tailwind perhaps. I get 17mph max, which is feels very fast on a scooter. Take note that this scooter doesn't have any kind of shocks or suspension, so ride on anything other than flat ground at your own risk. About a year ago I was driving this fast on the shoulder of a road, I hit a pothole and it sent me flying off the scooter into the road. I got some sick roadrash, but luckily walked away. I strongly suggest wearing a helmet and only level ground (bike paths, empty parking lots, etc). For just over $100, I def recommend it. I repaired mine and still use it. I keep it in my trailer for events where I have to park my trailer fair from my destination.

The reviews seem confused if max speed is 16mph or 19mph anyone have it?
16mph if heavy or going on a flat street, 19mph if your going downhill

How long does the battery last?

I have something similar. Been riding it to work (1 mile) for over a year. These Chinese e scooters are pretty reliable. I even rode it during a snow storm. Mine was an older model and the tires were bumpy af. But for such a low price I really can't complain. It's solid if you need something to ride around for less than 5 miles

I would get something from Amazon. If it sucked I can still return.

Everyone pretending this is too small a battery or not powerful enough are wildly misinformed about typical USA trips. 1/2 of US car trips are less than 3 miles and 1/4 are less than ONE. This is plenty for commuting in a town or city if you are even remotely close to the core.
