I'm using a LG gram and wouldn't mind an upgrade but how heavy is this? I know this is the air model but my gram is so paper light due to its magnesium frame.

2.7 lb., guessing half a pound more than LG gram.
Superb computer. I am waiting for my order to come in. Had one from 2014 that I used for many years before it died. I had to replace batteries a couple times. Currently using a M1 for about four years now and it has been flawless. Happy with sticking to a tried model.

how in the world is 256 GB storage for a laptop acceptable in this day and age? the OS itself will take a quarter of that
Depends on what you use it for. I have the M2 and it's mostly for email, YouTube, web browsing, and porn, and it works great. I've had it since 2022.

Eu should bring a law that Non Soldered Ram or Slots should be available to expand to prevent Digital non degradable trash. These systems should be able to run with additional Ram and SSD for another decade. I have PC from 2011 Dell and 2019 Lenovo where Ram is expandable and are still running in my house.

Its hard to think to buy new iPhones, iPad, watch, laptop every 2 - 3 years as non of them have replaceable batteries, upgradeable RAM, HDD

The reason I say is EU is, US congress is impotent and proven to dysfunctional based on history.

Depending on your use, it's perfect. I have 512 GB on my PC and only use about 150 GB. I use a portable SSD for my long-term storage of photos and haven't needed more than 256 GB since at least 2013.

Yes because that's just the ghetto look everyone wants when buying a macbook.

If you were planning to buy Airpods as well, you can get this directly from the Apple Education store [apple.com] with free Airpods 4 with ANC (or $179 discount on Airpods Pro 2) for $899. Free laser engraving, too, FWIW.

I prefer Samsung T7, but there was a post recently for good deals with Crucial.

How easy is it to resell these iPods for close to retail price? I prefer over the ear headphones to these earbuds that you stick in your ear. Not to mention the ease of dropping/losing one of them.
