Similar to when flat screen TV's first came out, these used to be a hundreds of dollars and now you can get it for under $20! Rent and home prices are out of control but at least we have our gadgets 😅

Car prices are also out of control but maybe the culprit is that wages at work are lagging far behind

There have been a few things that contributed to this: supply shortages during COVID pushed up used car prices. Then simultaneously many automakers reduced or eliminated lower-cost vehicles due to the profit margins of higher-priced ones. Add in car loan terms expanding to 7 or 8 year terms and you have a 'perfect storm' driving overall car prices higher.
