Thing is, I like food variety and Honolulu is open late…
I can get good eats at 9pm or later
Rest of state/ other islands, close shop at 8pm or earlier
and you just have a limited food choices at those hours

Source: I live in hnl and see far more locals trashing the island than do tourists.
