With a stock tracker, you could have snagged a 5080 FE without much trouble, and the 5090 FEs have been popping in and out of stock more often over the past couple of weeks.
...you mean the 5090s that are priced mostly over $2500 by the non-Nvidia AIB manufacturers? The ones with pretty 'meh' design/engineering & ENORMOUS heatsinks?
And lol.. "With a stock tracker" - you're really just proving my point. The FEs (aside from the 5070) have still been hard to get @ MSRP, and often sell out immediately when they are available.

The 5070 FE does run a bit warm/loud at stock voltages, but it is VERY easy to undervolt them to where they use 100W less power than stock (250 -> 150W), yielding significantly lower temps & fan noise. Plenty of youtube videos on the subject, but they seem to do ~2850MHz @ 875mV pretty easily. Unfortunately, the minimum fan speed (when the fans are on) is 30% / ~1700 rpm which is noticeable in an otherwise very quiet case.
I've since gotten the 5080 FE, so I've been trying to sell the 5070 FE. 5080 FE gets similar (or better) results undervolting - I've got mine running 2805 MHz / 875 mV, which runs around 200W vs 360W stock. Less fan noise when fans on @ idle speed, too, which is nice. The fans barely ever kick up much above that idle speed, so my nice quiet PC stays nice & quiet even when gaming.
