Ok. I had to add it cart & remove it twice. The coupon code kicked in on the third attempt. Thanks!

In for a few. These should be RTL9210B chipset with a very recent firmware. Makes them one of the few that will support UASP and TRIM out of the box on Linux. Prefer the Fideco one with the chunkier case but this is a great price.

How does FIDECO compare to Orico, Ugreen, Jeyi? I know Orico seems to have a bad rep even among China users and Ugreen better… is this more like Ugreen or more like Orico

Bought one before at higher price, still within return time limit. Can I price match at Amazon? Or do i have to order a new one at low price and return it to get refund of the previous order?

How'd you get a few? The coupon code only works once.

I bought this recently. This doesn't have the B chip. It has the old A and runs a different firmware package that's not on station-drivers.

I ordered a pair, code worked a few hours ago (noon-ish central time). I think mine ended up a hair over $9 before tax each though. I've got a few leftover 128GB SSDs from laptop upgrades, so they'll work out better than slower USB flash drives for portable storage.

Sorry to say this but at least now you know so you won't waste time on it Smilie .. amazon sadly no longer adjusts prices if you bought it at a higher price even within the return time limit. it's pretty crazy actually, if you say something like " well guess I'll just return it and reorder it again and then you'll have to pay more money anyways so why not just give me the price difference" the amazon customer service rep will shrug their shoulders helplessly and say " I would if I could but.. my computer won't let me... " .. of course nowadays I'd feel bad about using this kind of tactic, ashamed to say I used to do stuff like that in the past...

If you get a nice rep and you're super nice yourself (phone call reps are usually more helpful than chat reps or that's been my experience anyways) you can explain the situation and ask if there's any chance of an amazon promotional credit which they're much more likely to be allowed to give though usually not more than five dollars (hey it's something Smilie ) .. it's limited in that you can only use it on stuff shipped and sold directly by amazon but then again there's a lot of stuff on amazon that falls into that category.. not guaranteed by any means, I've found the amazon rep is limited to what the computers programmed by Bezos's minions will do (and the amazon agents they will freely admit this if asked Stick Out Tongue .. well maybe not so bluntly but they'll explain why their hands are tied )
