I believe that is the regular AMS combo the 2 pro is $869 plus shipping. Most microcenters have had this deal for a while now but sold out everywhere.

Wild. Running multiple P1S printers with the AMS and without for years now, each have around 1000 hours print time and have yet to have any issues with any of them. Only had to replace the print bed sheets once on each printer and had to open the AMS units a few times to remove old filament that shouldn't have been used, had gotten brittle and broke apart inside the unit.

Bought from MC during anniversary sale also, been printing non-stop since with very little issues. I did have a couple old cardboard spools that did not do well in the AMS but have had very little issues with the plastic spools. My one complaint is not being able to dry while printing makes the AMS not so great.

Just wish they would update the p1s to have a better screen. Want to upgrade from A1 but the screen blows on the P1S so leaning X1C. I would be fine with the first gen AMS.
Agree. Even if they sell a screen upgrade. I guess they figure a better screen would cut into X1 sales.

They're okay these days. The centauri carbon print quality is just as good and for a fraction of the price. Only advantage with Bambu is the AMS which is not released for centauri yet.
I wouldn't say the only, but that's definitely huge. When centauri has one, I doubt their first gen will be as good as this 2nd gen.

who really wants to use the screen? even if you're a print farmer, how much are you really using the screen instead of the app/studio? mine is used just to stop and restart when there's a problem, so not complicated.

I use a lot on A1 to rerun a job, change filament, check time, etc. Just foolish to not have a color screen particularly when tied to AMS.

They intentionally put a sh*t screen on the P1S to sell the X1C.

I bought the P1s and ams2 during their anniversary sale. It really feels like old tech and the ams is constantly having trouble feeding the next plastic. If this was my first Bambu printer, I would be skeptical about the brand.I don't know if my issues are with the ams2 or the p1s but I wouldn't recommend them. And for what it's worth, the p1s with ams2 is my 6th printer. The bambu a1 mini with ams lite was my 5th and that is so much more reliable than my p1s with ams2
during the anniversary sale, I bought P1S with the regular ams and have no issues. it might be the new one or something is not connected correctly.

I have never used it. I use the app or computer.

Seems to be super inconsistent.

I've had a bit of an adventure with Bambu. Bought a P1S and within a few hours of printing starting getting hotend errors. Numerous support tickets and warranty parts and replacing parts and I was legit spending more time repairing my Bambu than I ever did my Ender 3.

Eventually Bambu deemed it to be defective and let me do a warranty swap. The new one has been absolutely flawless.

I will also say I've found the AMS to be inconsistent. Lots of feeding/retraction errors. What finally fixed it for good for me was building the Python AMS (look it up on Makerworld). Ever since that it's been flawless.

I genuinely believe most of these printers are flawless and work perfectly. But there are too many fanbois who refuse to acknowledge that some printers and users to have errors that are 100% the fault of Bambu and not user error.

And if you do get a lemon, dealing with Bambu is a pretty sucky experience.

For what it's worth I have an a1 with a nice screen and I only interact with it to press okay when the print is done. And that's not even required.

as far as I know, you only 'need' it to change the hotend settings

time is just there, and rerun is easy. i don't rerun prints often at all without changing something in it, but i don't run a farm. i will say changing filament is annoying. if you use AMS, you'd rarely use it, I can see load/unload with manual so you don't walk back and forth.

Is there anything else worth picking up from Micro Center, related to the printer, while I'm there?

Thats the regular AMS the older version. Its $700 in Microcenter with the AMS2 is $800.
AMS is about to become extinct.wonder maker and snapmaker are about to release multi tool machines around this price point that will do multi color prints with way less waste and in waaay less time. It's really not a good time to buy a printer now.The next major paradigm shift for the industry is just over the horizon.affordable multi tool machines.I would wait it out a little longer.I love my A1 , I paid $425 with the AMSbut I am not investing in a core XY until wonder maker and snapmaker release their machines and I see how Creality and Bambu respond.Maybe I will jump on the super early bird for the snap maker tho.

I bought a bambu X1 as a 3D printing noob in order to prototype a new product. It was extremely easy to use their software and do prints. The only issue is that the platform material pretty much requires that I lube it up with an elementary school style glue stick or else the PLA can stick (~25% chance) and ruin the print.Overall, I find the Bambu experience and UI to be very user friendly and easy.
