I've put a few of these in for folks. Easiest way is to purchase a 4x4 ground spike anchor and attach these to a 4x4 about 36" off the ground or so. Depending on the mount, you might need to attach a piece of treated 2x4 if you need the extra width for mounting it, using the best outdoor screws for the job. The ground spike works great and eliminates the need to do any cement work.

Almost pulled the trigger even though I don't need it, then I saw some video reviews of the leaks. Oof pass

I was looking at the Giraffe Tools and they may be a lot better but the price is hard to beat! They also have an image on the listing of a 2 year warranty. So I'm in.

Anyone have personal experience with this? Been looking for a while and thinking I was going to go with Giraffe 🦒

I have the 🦒. No problems yet. 2 years getting molested by the sun and the plastic is good and no signs of cracking. I installed it on a 4x4 and the plastic swivel base is still good

I would use anchors, but if brick is strong enough to hold a tap on without stripping, then why not.

It depends on what you're doing. Need to water the garden? No problem. Need to wash the car? Yeah, you're going to struggle.

Bought one of these from Tm-u, I attached it with a post then anchored it instead of installing on brick. 1 year in and still going strong. I'd buy another one for my front bed.

I bought the Gardena brand. Made in Germany. I paid more than double for 100ft. For the price, this is a steal.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Mr.FixerUpper

if you want to buy an excellent hose reel and never have an issue with it look at Eley. if you live in your home long enough you will spend enough on these junky reels to pay for one of these quality units and never have an issue.

Put in a similar recently for my parents, dug a 2x2x2 hole filled with 2 60lb bags of quick mix, took a 4ft 4x4 treated and sunk the pass through bolts into it. Added a decorative cap and with paint looks mint
